After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Whiteoak, the Manchester Greyhounds were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They took down Clay 42-26. For Manchester, this counts as revenge for the 47-28 loss Clay walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Clay saw an underclassman step up: Emma Emnett scored 20 points. Emnett scored a full 76.9% of Clay's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Manchester's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Clay, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Manchester will head out on the road to face off against Glenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Clay, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
