The Salem Rams waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 64-57 win over Wildwood. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Wildwood lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brian Cunniff, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Cunniff scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Junior Hans, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Salem now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Wildwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salem will take on Pennsville Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Pennsville Memorial's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests. As for Wildwood, they will be playing at home against Glassboro at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
