Basketball Game Preview: The Meadows School Mustangs vs. Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons

The Meadows School has gone 3-0 against Doral Academy Red Rock recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Meadows School Mustangs will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, The Meadows School was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 45-40 to Boulder City. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ej Nwapa, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Evie De Wit, who posted 11 points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Doral Academy Red Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 55-28 loss at the hands of Rancho. One positive for the Dragons, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

The Meadows School's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went The Meadows School's way against Doral Academy Red Rock when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as The Meadows School made off with a 46-25 win.
