The Council Grove Braves will head out on the road to square off against the Halstead Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, everything came up roses for Council Grove on the road against Eureka as the team secured a 60-33 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Council Grove just coasted through the last quarter.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Council Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brycen Palmquist, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Palmquist has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyzer Spittles, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Halstead didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Larned on Friday, but they still walked away with a 47-42 victory.
The victory got Council Grove back to even at 7-7. As for Halstead, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
