The Superior Panthers lost against the Apache Junction Prospectors back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Superior was dealt a 50-14 loss at the hands of Apache Junction. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Superior has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Apache Junction to victory, but perhaps none more so than Omar Adam, who scored 15 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Josh Castro, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Superior's loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-7. As for Apache Junction, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Superior will take on Fort Thomas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Apache Junction won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Coronado at 10:30 a.m. on January 6th.
