North Vermillion found their leader in freshman Nora Thomann, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Thomann has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadence Dunham, who posted 13 points and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Oakwood was beaten by Benton Central 60-33 on Friday.
Oakwood's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for North Vermillion, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
North Vermillion didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Oakwood when the teams last played back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win.
