Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 10-0 Holmes County Central and 12-1 Jackson Prep (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 55.9% over those games). As for Greenville, their win ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yazoo City will take on Cleveland Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cleveland Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Yazoo City in Mississippi (Cleveland Central is ranked 63rd, while Yazoo City is ranked 231st). As for Greenville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gentry at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
