Ceres is 10-0 against Pacheco since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Ceres Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Pacheco Panthers at 7:15 p.m. Pacheco took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Ceres, who comes in off a win.
Even though Ceres has not done well against Beyer recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Ceres came out on top against Beyer by a score of 57-50.
Manuel Ortega was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Carey Mastin, who scored nine points along with six assists and two steals.
Meanwhile, Pacheco came up short against Lathrop on Wednesday and fell 44-36.
Ceres is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Pacheco, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
Ceres was able to grind out a solid win over Pacheco in their previous matchup on January 8th, winning 69-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ceres since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
