The Parkwood Wolf Pack lost against the Sun Valley Spartans last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Parkwood took a 58-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sun Valley. Parkwood has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Parkwood's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Peyton Collins, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds, and Kayl Starnes who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds. Collins scored a full 29.2% of Parkwood's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Brooke Fowler was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Sun Valley can attribute much of their success to Jordan Vaughn, who scored 21 points along with 3 steals. The matchup was Vaughn's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tyra Robinson, who scored 10 points along with 5 assists.
Parkwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sun Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Parkwood will head out on the road to face off against Weddington at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sun Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Providence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
