The Southeastern Local Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the West Jefferson Roughriders at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Southeastern Local will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Last Saturday, Southeastern Local was fully in charge, breezing past Northeastern 54-17 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-9.
Meanwhile, West Jefferson lost to Greeneview on the road by a decisive 48-34 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, West Jefferson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 580th, while Greeneview is ranked 217th).
Southeastern Local's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for West Jefferson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
Southeastern Local came up short against West Jefferson when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 58-54. Can Southeastern Local avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
