2A District 5 recap November 5, 2013
Keswick Christian lost to Bradenton Christian 50-15 last week, the largest margin of any game. Parker Holland threw for 230 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 31 yards in the loss.
Cambridge Christian made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,863 from 10,736. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 29-6 victory over Canterbury last week.
Taylor King threw for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 11-16 with 0 interceptions.
Sinclair Laskett was the best running back in 2A District 5 this week. He ran for 167 yards on 6 carries as the Panthers topped Northside Christian. Lance Perkins also contributed to the rushing game with 104 yards on the ground.
Carrollwood Day's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Patriots feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. King has thrown for 1,958 yards and 18 touchdowns this season, while Smith has 42 catches for 1,017 yards.
Willie Parker has rushed for 952 yards on 104 carries so far this year.
