The Conway Springs Cardinals were the 37-31 winner over the Medicine Lodge Indians when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Conway Springs took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Medicine Lodge.
Despite the loss, Conway Springs still got an impressive performance from Haylee Osner, who scored 17 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Melissa Ebenkamp, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Conway Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Medicine Lodge, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conway Springs will square off against Kingman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Medicine Lodge, they will head out on the road to face off against Ellinwood on Tuesday.
