Beulah has gone a perfect 4-0 against Hazen recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Miners will head out to square off against the Bison at 4:30 p.m. Beulah is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season.
Beulah hadn't beaten Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] on the road since April 18, 2017 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Miners blew past the Cougars 13-1. The win continues a trend for the Miners in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.
Addie Dale-Geiger was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last nine contests.

Hager went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Remboldt went 2-for-4 with three runs and one double. Those three runs gave Remboldt a new career-high. Peyten Horning was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Seven must be Hazen's lucky number: they beat Turtle Lake-Mercer with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Bison beat the Trojans by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-5. The victory was familiar territory for the Bison, who have now won three games in a row.
Ava Jungers made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Jungers was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs.
In other batting news, Elliot Myklebust and Devin Weisz did most of the damage at the plate: Myklebust went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run, while Weisz got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Mattea Hysjulien, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Beulah's record is now 14-5. As for Hazen, their record now sits at 4-8.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Beulah has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .485. However, it's not like Hazen struggles in that department as they've averaged .506. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Beulah's way against Hazen in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as Beulah made off with a 19-0 win. Will the Miners repeat their success, or do the Bison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
