The Emery Spartans will face off against the American Leadership Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Emery is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Delta to the tune of 55-21 last Friday. The win was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on three straight.
Among those leading the charge was Jaxon Johnson, who rushed for 23 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Porter Hurdsman, who picked up 103 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, with a playoff game on the line, American Leadership Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Patriots 63-21.
Kannon Huntsman was his usual excellent self, rushing for 150 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Tad Swarnes was another key player, picking up 256 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
American Leadership Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 221 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Emery has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for American Leadership Academy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Emery has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 364.2 total yards per game.
