Even though the Warwick Raiders scored an imposing 62 points on Tuesday, the Kecoughtan Warriors still came out on top. Kecoughtan snuck past Warwick with a 68-62 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kecoughtan.
Kecoughtan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyler Suber led the charge by scoring 26 points. Another player making a difference was Marcel Pace, who scored 18 points.
Kecoughtan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Warwick, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kecoughtan will take on Hampton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Hampton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Saturday. As for Warwick, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Menchville at 7:15 p.m. Menchville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Warwick in Virginia (Menchville is ranked 96th, while Warwick is ranked 331st).
