Softball Recap: Vancleave Triumphs

Vancleave won the last time they faced Pascagoula and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Vancleave Bulldogs came out on top against the Pascagoula Panthers by a score of 6-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Brooklyn Howard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits.

At the plate, Hadleigh Hall and Presleigh Tapp did most of the damage at the plate: Hall went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Tapp scored a run while going 2-for-2. That home run was Hall's first of the season.

Vancleave's record now sits at 7-9. As for Pascagoula, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vancleave will square off against George County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. George County's pitching crew has only allowed 1.4 runs per game this season, so Vancleave's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pascagoula, they will take on Vancleave at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
