The Greer Yellow Jackets will venture away from home to face off against the Daniel Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Greer proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Seneca 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Yellow Jackets have posted since September 4th.
Greer took Seneca into a fifth set where they got it done with a ten-point win. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16, 16-25, 21-25, 15-5.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Daniel, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on Blue Ridge with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Fighting Tigers: they've now won five in a row.
The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11, 25-19.
Daniel's win came from a few key players Greer will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Emily Gilstrap, who had 16 assists and eight digs.
Daniel was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive contests.
Greer's record now sits at 20-7. As for Daniel, their record is now 24-8.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Greer hasn't let much over the net this season, having averaged 5.3 blocks per game. It's a different story for Daniel, though, as they've been averaging only 1.6 blocks. Given Greer's sizable advantage in that area, the Lions will need to find a way to close that gap.
Greer couldn't quite get it done against Daniel in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Yellow Jackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
