Softball Recap: Robinson Drops Highest Score of Season Against Leto

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Robinson). Everything went their way against the Leto Falcons on Tuesday as Robinson made off with an 18-2 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Isabella 'Bella' Villanti and Dalia 'Mae' Campbell did most of the damage at the plate: Villanti scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Campbell scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave Campbell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddy Satin, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Robinson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .769. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Robinson's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Leto, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Robinson will face off against rival Blake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Leto is set to square off against their familiar foe Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
