After soaring to 57 points the game before, the Bloomfield Bobcats were a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 64-20 loss at the hands of Farmington. Bloomfield has not had much luck with Farmington recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Bloomfield's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Andrew Florez, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three blocks, and Sam Slivers who scored six points. Florez scored a full 30% of Bloomfield's points, the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Bloomfield struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Farmington, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomfield will take on Piedra Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Farmington will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sandia at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
