Even if things were shuffled around here and there, the power rankings for this week won't seem too unfamiliar if you've been following along. Don't let that fool you into thinking nothing interesting happened, though. Among the action were the efforts of Eagle River's senior Ryan Adkins, an offensive menace who scored six total TDs.
Can't Touch This
Eagle River got a 48 - 14 win over Kenai Central last week, and a key reason for the win was senior Ryan Adkins. Adkins threw for 420 yards and four touchdowns. That performance landed Adkins among the top power-ranked players for the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between East (1st in the power rankings) and Bartlett (2nd). East strolled past Bartlett with points to spare, taking the game 33 - 15. The win raised East up two spots in the power rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Service (6th in the power rankings) and Soldotna (3rd). Both teams have their heads held high after dominating their previous opponents. Soldotna and Service both have plenty of landslide victories under their belts (Soldotna with five and Service with three), but only one can come away triumphant this week. We'll find out who that is soon.
