South Summit waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Juab Wasps 14-3. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.
Adeline Aste was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Emma Broadbent, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
South Summit always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Juab only posted an OBP of .375.
South Summit's win bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Juab, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.
Coming up, South Summit will host Ogden at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.5 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. Juab does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
