Emily Coleman made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs.
In other batting news, Jocelyn Lewis was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Randi Thomas, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Westinghouse pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games.
