On Friday, Lordsburg was out to avenge their 6-29 loss to Willcox from the last time they squared off against one another, but the team left empty-handed. Lordsburg ended up on the wrong side of a painful 18-48 walloping at Willcox hands. The loss was a vexing one since Lordsburg was expected to win based on their state ranking. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Lordsburg off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Willcox a 1-0 record.
Next week, Lordsburg take on TBA at 7:00 PM. As for Willcox, they will face of against Pima.
