The Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks will head out on the road to face off against the Quinter Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Wheatland-Grinnell couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a serious blow against Logan/Palco on Friday, falling 68-17. Wheatland-Grinnell has not had much luck with Logan/Palco recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Quinter ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 48-44 W over Victoria.
Quinter can attribute much of their success to Shea Salyers, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gunner Catura, who scored 12 points.
Wheatland-Grinnell's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Quinter, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Wheatland-Grinnell took a serious blow against Quinter in their previous matchup back in February, falling 71-35. Can Wheatland-Grinnell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
