The Fenton Tigers will face off against the Hartland Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fenton is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.
Fenton's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Swartz Creek as they made off with a 14-0 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 contests by six runs or more this season.
Abby Golen was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Izzy MacCaughan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 15 games. Taryn Craven was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Fenton hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in eight consecutive matchups.

Like Fenton, Hartland also got a great game from a two-way player: Olivia Forrest. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Forrest was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Skylar Spisz was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Avery Richardson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Fenton pushed their record up to 21-3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Hartland, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5-1.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fenton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .433. However, it's not like Hartland struggles in that department as they've averaged .338. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
