The Pantego Christian Panthers pushed their score all the way to 57 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 64-57 to Regents. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Saturday (55), Pantego Christian still had to take the loss.
Pantego Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aj Brooks, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Tristan Brown was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Pantego Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Regents, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
Pantego Christian and The Christian School at Castle Hills will round out the year against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Regents won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Faith Academy at 10:15 a.m. on December 29th.
