The GVCS Broadfording Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 58-12 loss at the hands of Hedgesville. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points GVCS Broadfording has scored all season.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Shane Hill and
Daniel Cartwright, who each put up four points.
Jordan Shifler held things down on the boards with five rebounds.
GVCS Broadfording's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-25. As for Hedgesville, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.
GVCS Broadfording will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Washington at 7:30 p.m. on February 15th. As for Hedgesville, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Shenandoah Valley Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully Hedgesville is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in their respective states (they are ranked 14th in West Virginia, while Shenandoah Valley Academy is ranked 177th in Virginia).
