The South Pasadena Tigers stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They breezed by Blair on the road to the tune of 93-49. Winning may never get old, but South Pasadena sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Pasadena to victory, but perhaps none more so than Derek Peterson, who scored 20 points along with four steals. Peterson has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Madison, who scored 17 points along with two steals and two blocks.
Despite the loss, Blair still got an impressive performance from Nazsir Cammon, who scored 18 points along with five assists. Andrew Patterson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Blair struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
South Pasadena has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. As for Blair, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-11.
South Pasadena won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Saints at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. One thing working in Hillcrest Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven contests. Blair does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
