Valley entered their tilt with Johnston on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Dragons. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 7-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Maddison Zlomke spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mack Mohler, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Kari Rose, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
