Hardin-Central has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Green Ridge Tigers at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Hardin-Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Green Ridge is ranked 53rd).
Last Thursday, Hardin-Central came up short against Braymer and fell 56-47. Hardin-Central has struggled against Braymer recently, as their contest on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Green Ridge put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Concordia by a score of 72-59. Green Ridge's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Hardin-Central's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-1. As for Green Ridge, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Hardin-Central came up short against Green Ridge in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 40-29. Can Hardin-Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
