Sweet Springs has gone a perfect 8-0 against La Monte recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Sweet Springs Greyhounds will head out on the road to face off against the La Monte Vikings at 7:45 p.m. Neither Sweet Springs nor La Monte posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Last Friday, Sweet Springs had to suffer through a 64-21 loss at the hands of St. Paul Lutheran. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 561st, while the Saints are ranked 263rd).

Meanwhile, La Monte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 50-26 to Stover.

Sweet Springs has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for La Monte, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-18.

Sweet Springs beat La Monte 45-35 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sweet Springs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
