The Galileo Lions will head out on the road to square off against the Washington Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Galileo strolled past The Academy - San Francisco with points to spare, taking the game 54-39. The win was just what Galileo needed coming off of a 86-60 loss in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Washington waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They snuck past Lowell with a 59-54 victory.
Korey Abantao was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Quadir Jules, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Galileo has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 15-12 record this season. As for Washington, their win bumped their record up to 18-9.
Galileo came up short against Washington when the teams last played back in January, falling 56-45. Can Galileo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
