Softball Recap: Fairview Wins Going Away Against Tinora

Fairview had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Tinora on Tuesday. The Apaches blew past the Rams 17-7. This was payback for the Apaches, who suffered an 11-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Kortney Grinnell was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted over her last 11 games. Another player making a difference was Kayla Mavis, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Fairview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Fairview's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Tinora, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
