The Westview Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a tough 8-0 defeat at the hands of Millennium. Westview has not had much luck with Millennium recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Westview dropped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only scored one goal over those three matches. As for Millennium, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westview will take on La Joya Community at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. La Joya Community's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. Millennium will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Verrado at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th. Verrado has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 19 goals over their last three matches.
