The Westerville North Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 55-32 defeat at the hands of Worthington Kilbourne. While losing is never fun, Westerville North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 617th, while Worthington Kilbourne is ranked 298th).
Leading Worthington Kilbourne to victory were Oliviah Wilkerson and Lilly Schultheis. Wilkerson dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds, while Schultheis dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Schultheis hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella White, who scored nine points.
Westerville North has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Worthington Kilbourne, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-6.
Westerville North will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dublin Scioto at 7:00 p.m. As for Worthington Kilbourne, they will head out on the road to face off against Westerville South at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westerville South is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
