The Nanuet Golden Knights had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They claimed a resounding 59-27 victory over Saunders Trades & Tech on the road. That 59-27 margin sets a new team best for Nanuet this season.
Saunders Trades & Tech's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Micheal Patterson, who scored 14 points, and Alex Vazquez who scored nine points. Patterson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Nanuet's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Saunders Trades & Tech, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nanuet will take on Pearl River at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pearl River presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Nanuet in New York (Pearl River is ranked 36th, while Nanuet is ranked 325th). Saunders Trades & Tech won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Gorton at 4:00 p.m. on January 9th. Gorton is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
