Basketball Recap: San Rafael Sets Scoring Season-High Against Healdsburg

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Rafael). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Healdsburg Greyhounds 83-42. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Several Greyhounds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Overdorf, who posted 12 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Beckett Little, who had nine points.

San Rafael has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Healdsburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Rafael and Piner will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on December 23rd. As for Healdsburg, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Middletown at 2:00 p.m. on December 31st. Healdsburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season.
