Softball Recap: Brown City's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

Brown City dropped their record down to 6-5 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Almont Raiders by a score of 2-0. Considering the last time the Green Devils couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

As for Almont, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games.

For Almont's part, the team relied heavily on Brooklyn Bunch, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Bunch a new career-high. Emma Campbell also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Coming up, Brown City will head out on the road to square off against Marlette at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Almont, they will be playing at home against Imlay City at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
