The Monache Marauders will head out to face off against the Porterville Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Monache is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Golden West on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Monache was dealt a 45-7 loss at the hands of Golden West. While losing is never fun, the Marauders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 377th, while the Trailblazers are ranked 133rd).

Meanwhile, Porterville earned a 28-19 win over Mt. Whitney on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.
Ethan Enriquez was his usual excellent self, throwing for 308 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt. What's more, he also racked up 29 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in August. Jonathan Ruiz was in the mix as well, providing Porterville with two touchdowns.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Porterville's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jace Desoto and Kristian Esquivel, who racked up all four sacks between them.
Monache's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Porterville, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
