It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Heidelberg Oilers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They secured a 20-14 W over Bay Springs. The victory was familiar territory for Heidelberg who now have four in a row.
Heidelberg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Julius Bradley, who rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Bradley's longest rush was for an incredible 82 yards. Chase Craft and his 85 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Heidelberg's win.
Heidelberg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Bay Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.
Heidelberg will take on Collins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bay Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
