There's no place like home for the Palmetto Christian Academy Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They secured a 40-35 W over Union Christian Day on Tuesday.
Palmetto Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Jardin Porter , who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Porter has scored at least 25% of Palmetto Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon King, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Union Christian Day saw an underclassman step up: Eli Gage scored 20 points. Gage scored a full 57.1% of Union Christian Day's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kaden White, who scored 6 points.
Palmetto Christian Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Union Christian Day, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Palmetto Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against GREEN Upstate at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union Christian Day, they will be playing at home against Thornwell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
