The Citronelle Wildcats were the 64-53 winner over the Leroy Bears when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Citronelle fell just short of Leroy by a score of 47-44. Citronelle has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Taylor Crumedy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Leroy, scoring 26 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Crumedy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. Malik Howell was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Citronelle dropped their record down to 4-13 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Leroy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season.
Citronelle will look to defend their home court on Monday against Robertsdale at 7:00 p.m. Leroy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
