After two games on the road, Yreka is heading back home. They will take on the Paradise Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to post seven more assists than your opponent, a fact Yreka proved on Friday. They blew past Central Valley, posting a 75-39 victory on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Yreka has managed all season.
Isaac Tannaci had an outrageously good game as he scored 15 points along with seven assists and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Brody Zediker was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Paradise was handed a 46-point loss in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Willows on Friday. Paradise sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-41 win over Willows. The victory was just what Paradise needed coming off of a 74-28 defeat in their prior matchup.
Yreka's win bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Paradise, their win bumped their record up to 10-15.
Yreka strolled past Paradise when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a score of 67-49. Will Yreka repeat their success, or does Paradise have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
