Liliana Roybal was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in March. Aaliyah Diggs was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one RBI.
Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .658. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Del Norte only posted an OBP of .500.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, Bernalillo was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 14-2 to Albuquerque Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Spartans have suffered since March 29th.
Bernalillo saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teyonna Trancosa, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Jaelynn Valencia also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Valley's victory bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Bernalillo, they moved to 13-11 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
