The Estero Wildcats are taking a road trip to  square off against the Island Coast Gators  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Estero is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4  runs per game  this season.
Last Thursday, Estero beat North Fort Myers 5-2. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by  exactly three  runs.
 Case Bowman made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-4. What's more,  he posted three  hits, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024.
 Bowman wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Landon Brown, who  went 1-for-3 with one  triple and one  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  Brown  hit this season.  Marcus Whysong-Garner was another,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Island Coast waltzed into their game  on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single  run of losing the streak, but they secured  a   3-2 W against the Panthers.
 The  victory made it two in a row for Estero and  bumps their season record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Island Coast, their win was  their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 8-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Estero has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 8.2  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Island Coast struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 6.8  strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Estero came up short against Island Coast when the teams last played  back in March of 2022, falling  6-2. Can Estero avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
