Washburn proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let the Barron Golden Bears get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in September.

Washburn has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Barron, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4-3.

Coming up, Washburn will head out on the road to take on Cumberland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Barron, they will take on St. Croix Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
