The Purnell Swett Rams will head out to  challenge the Union Pines Vikings  at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Purnell Swett has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
 Having struggled with five  defeats in a row dating back to last season, Purnell Swett finally turned things around against A.L. Brown  on Friday. Everything went their way against the Wonders as they made off with  a  64-41 victory. The Rams' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
 Meanwhile, Union Pines didn't have quite enough to beat Lee County on Friday and fell  62-60.
 Union Pines'  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Jaylen Kyle, who  dropped  a double-double on 19 points and 13  rebounds, and  Kingsley Donaldson, who  dropped  a double-double on 17 points and 14  rebounds. Kyle's evening made it four games in a row in which  he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Aiden Leonard, who  earned six points along with six  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, Union Pines  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 17  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lee County only pulled down seven.
 Union Pines has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record  this season. As for Purnell Swett, their win  ended  an  eight-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 1-3.
 Things could have been worse for Purnell Swett, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took  a  64-45 loss to Union Pines in their previous meeting  back in November. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of   Kyle, who  went 8 for 14 en route to 25 points plus six  rebounds.
