Elko not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21st (when they won 23-8). Everything went their way against the Dayton Dust Devils as they made off with a 13-2 win. Elko got a great performance from Taylor Hunton as she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and not a single walk). Hunton has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Addison Seipp was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Jackson, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Elko kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
