The Central Noble Cougars will face off against the Bremen Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.
Central Noble is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Tippecanoe Valley 10-3 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Jacob Chenoweth was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Chenoweth was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ryne Keirn was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Treyton Fletcher, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Central Noble always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Bremen never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against South Central on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Satellites. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Preston Williams was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Zack Rouch was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
Central Noble's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bremen, their win bumped their record up to 11-8-1.
Central Noble might still be hurting after the 14-4 loss they got from Bremen in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will the Cougars have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
