Despite a strong season so far, The Nettleton Raiders have seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They fell just short of Wynne by a score of 41-39. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite the loss, Nettleton still got an impressive performance from Tj Brown, who rushed for 156 yards while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 33 receiving yards. Brown is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played. Curtez Smith did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 31 receiving yards.
Nettleton has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Wynne, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nettleton will take on Pine Bluff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pine Bluff is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Wynne, they will head out on the road to face off against Mills University Studies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
